John and Stephanie were very happy in there new house and were looking forward to the future together but that future has been shattered and taken away now thanks to the mindless actions of another person.
John from nineteen always worked, he had a variety of jobs though out his life and through these jobs made many friends, before John died he was settled in a good job, he worked for a firm called William Leas on the Pfizer Pharmaceuticals site in Sandwich, Stephanie also worked near him in the same building, they were constantly seeing each other throughout the day. We understand that every one had a nickname at work, including John, he was known as “Sausage”, we both laughed when we were told why he was called “Sausage”. John’s motorbike also managed to get a nickname and was called “The Big Banana”, John was well liked at work by so many people, we met so many of them at his funeral, it was quite overwhelming.
About two years before John died he got the motorcycle bug and pined up a large poster at his workstation of a yellow Triumph TT600 motorbike and vowed to get one just like it one day, he started motorcycle lessons, passed his test and finally found and bought the motorbike he had wished for, a yellow Triumph TT600 motorbike which John instantly fell in love with and treasured, it got that whenever we would phone John it would always seem that he was cleaning and polishing his motorbike or tinkering around with his bike.
John loved going shopping and would spend hours walking around the shops trying on clothes, looking in computer shops and before his death John would be in absolute heaven walking around motorbike shops which became his passion and that would be where he would go off to at weekends with Stephanie and his friends.
John enjoyed his food and his favourite was a big roast dinner with lots of roast potatoes and lots of Yorkshire puddings he also loved his mum’s home made Lasagne when he would come to visit us, in the summer time he loved to cook on the BBQ and have to say he was quite good at it, especially when we had a lot of people to cook for, he always seemed to have the knack to bring everything together for the perfect BBQ.
He made mistakes like everyone but he was a kind gentle giant and we will always be proud to think he touched so many people’s lives and left so many lovely memories for us all. It is a sad fact that now John has been cruelly taken from us all our lives are never going to be the same again.
John will always be remembered by us for his love of life, his magnetism when meeting people and his wicked sense of humour, he also had the loveliest laugh and sweetest nature a person could posses.
Rest in peace son, we love and miss you every minute of every day.
God Bless John, you may have been cruelly taken from us much earlier than you should have
but you will always be remembered in our hearts and minds for as long as we live,
we will love you always and hope and pray we see you in the spirit world
when our time comes.
