GRIEVING parents are demanding a change in the law after a driver was fined just £80 for killing their "wonderful son".
Machine operator Marek Tomi's Ford Mondeo pulled out in front of John Living's motorbike, tilling him instantly
Tomi, 23, appeared in court charged with careless driving
and was fined £100 - but this was later reduced to just £80
because he pleaded guilty He was also ordered to carry cut 200 hours' community service
London, want stricter penalties.
Dad Peter Living, 55, said: "This man gambled with my son's life and my wonderful son lost,
"We never expected him to get off this lightly It has rubbed salt into our wounds.''
He and wife Carol, 49, are setting up a petition and a website.
Dianne Ferreira, from national road safety charity Brake, said: "An £80 fine makes a mockery
of the justice system it is an insult,"
